Proofpoint and AxiCom Win 2020 Bronze Anvil Award
Partnership on global cybersecurity campaign achieves PRSA recognition for Best B2B Media Relations San Francisco, July 2, 2020: Proofpoint, Inc., a leading cybersecurity and compliance company, and AxiCom, WPP’s technology specialist communications agency, today announced that they have won the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2020 Bronze Anvil Award for Business-to-Business (B2B) Media Relations for the global “Putting People at the Center” campaign. The Bronze Anvil win was awarded for the combined team’s work in delivering top-tier global media results that elevated Proofpoint’s profile as a trusted voice in cybersecurity, differentiating it from over 700 competing cybersecurity vendors. In 2019, Proofpoint and AxiCom developed the “Putting People at the Center” campaign to evolve Proofpoint’s story from one that focused principally on technology to one that stressed the importance of placing people at the center of an organization’s security strategy. To bring this to life, Proofpoint and AxiCom worked closely with Proofpoint’s internal threat team to underscore the driving force behind the transformation: cybercriminals had changed their tactics to target people rather than systems through technical exploits.
