AxiCom Appoints Graeme Anthony as creative director
Former Frank director will lead AxiCom’s creative expansion
AxiCom, WPP’s technology specialist communications agency, today appointed Graeme Anthony to the newly established role of creative director. Anthony’s appointment is the latest step in the restructure of the leadership team that brings creativity and strategic counsel to the heart of every client and campaign AxiCom works with.
Anthony will focus on leading AxiCom’s creative division’s growth to support campaigns across all of the company’s client base, as well as providing creative counsel for new business activity. He will also sit on the UK Directors’ board to further strengthen AxiCom’s growth and success as a leading tech specialist PR and communications agency.
Before joining AxiCom, Anthony spent 10 years at communications agency Frank, where he was a founding member of the award-winning creative team, and masterminded campaigns for a range of clients such from Burger King and Diet Coke to Huawei and Atom Bank.
“When I met Graeme, I knew he was perfect for the role we wanted to create. Not only did he understand our vision of translating tech into stories that resonate with all audiences, but he could see the huge opportunity we have to change the perception of tech PR in general” said Rosie Bannister, UK managing director, AxiCom. “The last three months has been a blast, and even better, we can see our plan is already working with a 300% growth in our new business revenue for this year versus Q1 2020.”
“Well let’s face it, no one else was going to hire me.” said Anthony. “We are the proverbial odd couple who on paper shouldn’t work but actually what we’ve crafted is a formula that’s grabbing clients by creating those butterflies that have the potential to cause PR hurricanes. I firmly believe tech comms should be as radical and as maverick as the innovators we’re partnering with, and I look forward to the ensuing cease and desists.”
