Sage appoints AxiCom for global hub and local market PR support
December 9, 2022
AxiCom, WPP’s only global technology specialist communications agency, has been appointed by Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses, following a competitive 4-way pitch process. AxiCom was chosen because of its experience of running global hubs and its creative approach to storytelling. The partnership will cover eight local markets, including the UK, US, France and Germany, and will support with campaign execution, content creation and earned media relations.
Sage recently shot to the top of the FTSE 100 after publishing its latest set of financial results. It is setting out on a mission to ‘show up differently’, supporting the ambition of the world’s entrepreneurs in today’s challenging, worldwide, financial climate, and needed PR support from an agency with similar values. This includes shared philosophies around ‘human-to-human’ communication and empowering everyone to thrive, even – and especially – when times are tough, which made AxiCom the natural choice for Sage.
“We are delighted to officially confirm AxiCom’s appointment,” commented David Ginivan, Vice President, Corporate Communications and Reputation, Sage. “Sage is at an inflection point and our ambition is to tell bolder stories about our purpose, our products, and the difference they make to millions of small and mid-sized businesses around the world. We are excited to have a like-minded partner joining us on this journey.”
“We are hugely proud to have been chosen by Sage as its PR partner, especially at such an exciting time for the business, and given that we hold many of the same values around culture and communications,” added Rosie Bannister, Managing Director UK, AxiCom. “We recognise how big a role Sage has to play in determining the future of business, and we’re excited to embark on a long-term relationship that will support these ambitions.
