Launch of the Nokia 8, the first smartphone featuring the Bothie functionality by HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones.

This event represented the first local launch after the ‘return’ of Nokia to smartphones. AxiCom was challenged with creating and managing a major event to present HMD Global’s first flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8.
AxiCom developed launch plans and supporting materials for the Nokia 8 handset, the sponsorship of the Bahrain Merida cycling team and a partnership with Italian pop group TheGiornalisti. AxiCom secured trade and business press briefings at the launch event and managed media, blogger and influencer presence at the evening concert sponsored by HMD Global. The turnout was massive with over 110 media attending the launch.
